Covid-19 Safety

We are delighted to have reopened for visitors and get back to what we do best. However this must be done with the safety and well-being of all our staff and visitors as our priority.

With this in mind, we have implemented additional hygiene and safety measures in accordance with government guidelines. We will be updating these measures frequently in response to evolving Government guidelines, so do keep checking back here for the latest details.

Since these measures are new, we want you to be aware of all these changes prior to your visit.

Operational Changes

Railway: Only operating between Lakeside & Cleethorpes Kingsway Stations for the 2020 season. This is due to a road level crossing upgrade taking place.

Platform One Café: serving grab and go service only with a limited menu to reduce contact time and facilitate social distancing. There will be no indoor seating and only disposable cutlery and trays will be used.

Signal Box Inn: No indoor seating and only disposable poly-carbonate glasses will be used.

Enjoying a Safe Visit with Us

Before Visiting

If you have or any members of your household display symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you DO NOT visit us until these have cleared.

During Your Visit

Social Distancing

Socially-distanced one way queues with floor markings in place for the train, stations and Signal Box Inn
We have reduced train capacity, keeping a clear compartment between groups to allow social distancing.
Outdoor picnic benches have been spaced out to avoid areas becoming overpopulated.

Face Masks

In line with the latest government regulations, anyone over the age of 11 years old (except those medically exempt) will be required to wear a face mask or covering in our station shops and Platform One Cafe.
To protect both you and our staff, face masks will be worn by our staff.

To ensure your safety, we are accepting card payments only, contactless if you can.

Hygiene and Sanitisation

We ask all visitors to regularly wash and sanitise their hands on their visit.
Increased site cleaning regime of high contact points will be in place.

Sanitising stations for our visitors to use at entrances throughout the site.

Additional Measures

Signage installed at entrances and throughout the site to remind visitors of the new safety measures.
Extensive staff training to engage with visitors and promote all the safety measures.

How can you help?

Be ready for contactless card payments.
Bring your own hand sanitiser and wash your hands often.
Keep to social distancing guidelines and stay 2m away from other visitors and staff members at all times.
Respect other visitors.
There will be no indoor areas be open for seating, even in wet weather. We have some sheltered areas such as the station canopy at Lakeside but please bring umbrellas if there is a chance of showers!
Please be patient with us under these circumstances – things may take longer but we will do our best to make your visit with us as enjoyable as possible.

Whilst we have taken all reasonable care to follow government COVID-19 safety guidelines, by entering our attraction, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
