75th Anniversary Weekend

Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th July

A weekend you will not want to miss! Join us and celebrate the incredible milestone of 75 years of the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway.

Miniature tracks first graced the resort of Cleethorpes on the 16th July 1948 and to mark this, we will be launching a brand new exhibition telling the story. Learn about our railway’s rich history and see the railway’s original locomotives, returning after over 70 years!

An official ceremony led by the Mayor of North East Lincolnshire will take place on Saturday 15th at 13:30pm.

Steam locomotives ‘Monty’ from the Evesham Vale Light Railway and ‘Prince Edward of Wales’ from the Rhyl Miniature Railway will be visiting to participate in the celebrations, running alongside some of our resident locomotives.

At Lakeside Station, there will be miniature traction engines and steam vehicles, as well as regular attractions including crazy golf, and a drive-it-yourself tram for Under 10s.

For lovers of a pint or two, a fantastic range of first class ales will be just the ticket from the award winning pub ‘Signal Box Inn’. There will be live entertainment on Saturday evening.

Rover tickets allowing all-day travel will be available.
