Planning Your Visit

Dogs are very welcome to the CCLR and on our train - we charge a flat fare of £1.50 per dog. We ask that they are kept on a lead on all times.

Only guide dogs are permitted to our Santa Special events.

We have a disabled access carriage which is used on most days.

We advise that you contact us in advance to ensure it is in use on the day of your visit.

No - all tickets must be purchased on the day of travel. The only exception are our Santa Special trains where pre-booking is essential.

There is ample pay & display parking (operated by North East Lincolnshire Council) next to both of our stations. 

Blue badge holders can park for free.

We are at the southern end of Cleethorpes promenade, with two stations on King's Road.

Steam locomotives are most likely to be in service at weekends and during the local school holidays.

On the Day

We are a cashless site, only take payments via debit or credit card and smartphone apps.

We have three outlets across the railway providing options for food and drink.

At Lakeside Station, Sidings Snack Shack offers hot and cold food, drinks, slushies and ice cream. The Signal Box Inn offers alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and snacks.

At Kingsway Station, our gift shop offers hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice creams.

30 minutes for the full return journey - 10 minutes each way with a 10 minute stop in between.

Yes, you can split your journey and use the remainder of your ticket on the same day as purchase.

It is best to take a note of departure times from each station. We advise that you arrive at the stations approximately 10 minutes prior to departure time.

Toilet & baby changing facilities are available on Platform 2 of Lakeside Station.

Smoking or vaping is strictly not permitted on site, except in the beer garden of the Signal Box Inn.

Additional Info

Yes! They can be purchased in £10 instalments at all our outlets.

The vouchers can be used across the site (part-redemption not permitted).

We do have a lost property box so it is always worth getting in touch.
