Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to feel welcome at Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. This guide covers access to our stations, trains and facilities to help you plan your visit. If you have a question about your own access needs, please contact us before travelling.

Getting to our stations

Lakeside Station — DN35 0AG
Lakeside Station is on Kings Road, beside Cleethorpes Boating Lake. There is a pay and display car park next to the station.

Kingsway Station — DN35 0BY
Kingsway Station is on Kings Road, beside Cleethorpes Leisure Centre. There is a pay and display car park behind the station.

Both stations have wheelchair accessible platforms. Blue Badge holders can park free of charge in the nearby council car parks.

Travelling on the train

We have a specially built carriage that can accommodate up to two wheelchairs or mobility scooters. It operates on most days, but we recommend contacting us before your visit to check that it will be available on the day you plan to travel.

If you need help boarding, please speak to a member of our team at the station. Space on the accessible carriage is limited, so contacting us in advance is especially helpful if more than one person in your party will need it.

Toilets

Toilets and baby changing facilities are available on Platform 2 at Lakeside Station. Accessible toilets are also available at Lakeside.

Dogs and assistance dogs

Dogs are welcome on our regular trains and must be kept on a lead. A fare applies to pet dogs. Guide dogs are permitted on our Santa Special trains, where other dogs are not allowed.

If you are attending another special event with an assistance dog, please contact us beforehand so we can advise you about the event arrangements.

Special events and other activities

Access arrangements may differ for special events and experiences. If you are booking an event, or would like to know more about access to our other facilities, please get in touch before purchasing your tickets. We will be happy to talk through your requirements.
