Summer Steam Festival

A steam-powered extravaganza welcomes the warmth of summer as the eagerly awaited Summer Steam Festival returns!

This year's festival promises an extra dose of excitement with a special naming ceremony. Join us in commemorating the refurbishment of locomotive No.5, as it is christened by delegates from Cleethorpes’ twin town, Konigswinter, on Saturday July 13th at 13:30pm.

Adding to the festivities, visiting steam locomotives 'Sian' and 'Badger' from Whistlestop Valley will grace the tracks, joining forces with our own fleet for an unforgettable weekend. Special trains including the Fairbourne Flyer & Three Steam Special will take place.

For those eager to explore, Lakeside Station will host a captivating display of miniature traction engines and vintage vehicles including buses and cars, complemented by classic attractions such as crazy golf, a drive-it-yourself tram tailored for our younger enthusiasts and an exhibition showing off the history of the railway.

Quench your thirst with a selection of first-class ales from the 'Signal Box Inn' & 'Luggage Shed Lounge', and enjoy live entertainment from:
